To Each His Own....

I thought people would love the hard work
and flower beds at my house and had
a wake up call.  Apparently people don't!!!
They don't want anything that requires work
of any kind!!! Which I don't get, but whatever...
So I have been busy digging up beloved plants
and moving them to my mom's
garden bed to over winter till spring.  I am doing this
because by the time we get it, it will be too
late to move plants due to frost.
Although it doesn't look like much
there are at least 30 plants
We moved Irises,
 raspberries, lilies, flowers,
perennial herbs and hostas.
Fingers crossed they overwinter well!
They will be moving to this
big blank slate- our future new yard!
Since several people didn't like the rocks in our yard....
 we took those too.
The will be great for our future new goldfish pond!
No more garden fence and rocks thanks
to my Husbands hard work.
Kind of a blank slate with minimal
effort for new owner.
I will take the lattice arbor with me.
I wanted to leave it behind for the birds
that nest in it every year.  I just
know that it will be trashed by
new owner so I will leave
one in the tree just incase.
My yard art & statues will go with me of course.
The yard looks sad and bla to me now,
but my new future garden will be
Amazing!
I am so grateful that I have
a husband that is a doer
and not a sitter.  I am so
 thankful that we both
are not people that come
home from work and sit
in front of the TV
I am so grateful we found each
other and match each other!

I'm excited that next week
we are celebrating 13 years together
and 10 years married. Yes
we got married on the anniversary
of the day we met for the first time!
Exciting things are happening!!

Updating A Room and Guess What?

I haven’t had as much time to do art
the past 2 weeks as I was updating
and re purposing a room.
The below pics is the mural
I painted in the room many years ago...

So many holes to spackle
Then I primed over the dark
Colors to make painting easier
After-  Hazel likes this room and goes in all the time.
We took out the old carpet and replaced it
with new laminate floors.
I put up new blinds and window treatments.
I was going to use this room all winter as a plant room
but....here's the Guess What...we are buying a new house and
should be moving 1 Nov~ish.
My Dad's health has diminished and we are
moving to be closer so that we can help
them if they need it.
I'm excited for the new house.
I will have more room in the house & yard!
So many possibilities to plan for and sooooo
much work to pack up and move
our entire house and studio.
Oh my gosh- animals and fish tanks....
So glad I have my husband who I
can lean on and who has it together
and I know everything will
totally come together and work out!
Ahhhhh  Just Breathe!

Working away...

I have been working on some bowls
and a few other things.
This is a poppy and some leaves.

I made pottery beads and this cuff center to make into
a bracelet.  I love this one!
I love wearing lots of bracelets at one time.
Made some Butterfly Ornaments that my
friend Connie suggested.
I made a radish bowl that I loved and sold
so I made another.
This one is quite large and deep.

A small sunflower bowl

and a coneflower bowl
Bowls don't have to be boring...

For Butterflies and Birds

A leaf bird bath with a Monarch
On of my hanging butterfly water dishes.

When I can't find plates like I envision in my mind...
well I just make them.  I love ferns!

These three are all done!

My patio table...

My patio table and chairs were looking
pretty old and beat up.
Last year I meant to give them a spruce up but I
thought it would be such a big job that I put it off.
So this year- was the year to get it done!
I like this set, so I thought I'd see if I
could keep it a bit longer.
Tada! What a difference a few
cans of paint can make!
and it wasn't hard at all.
I'm quite happy with how it came out!
A little effort and it looks brand new!

Makes for a cozy little spot to relax!
