Christmas Home Tour

Hard to believe we've just been in this house
a little over a month. This is why art has taken a back burner
the past month. In addition to unpacking, and getting the
house decorated,  I have decked my
halls for Christmas!  I am loving it so much!
I absolutely love the light
 that pours in the windows...
I love twinkle lights.
I always have more lights inside my
house so I can enjoy them!
Pretty in the sunshine...

Cozy at night...
The living room mantle...
Look at Santa holding a bunny...with animals.
I was lucky to find him last year in a flower shop 1/2 off...
My nativity set that I love so much,
is now is displayed on a larger side board
instead of the smaller table I
had to put it on in the past.
I display some of my Santa pottery creations on this table.
My faux fireplace is in the dinning room now.
It goes perfectly
 with the kitchen cabinets
 and tile backsplash  I think.
I cannot believe all my teapots above the cabinets fit in
the kitchen at the other house.
I decorated our bedroom too. I put on red plaid bedding
with green velvet pillows. I just found these awesome
all wood bookcases on FB.  They were the deal
of a century and I think they make the
bedroom look cozy. Plus I have a place for all my
books since I lost a bit of space in my Art room.
At night...
This room was a very peacy color before.
Now it's more a wheat color.

I got the bathtub of my dreams!
This bathroom was a light pumpkin color...
This is Gus and Hazel's room....
This room was also painted, it was peach.
Can you tell I'm not a peach fan????

I haven't bunny proofed
the TV cords yet so I have the
little fence around the table.  LOL
Finally my Art Room....
There was a tree in front of the window
that blocked the light so unfortunately
my husband had to cut it down but we will
plant a new tree in the spring further away.
It's smaller than my old
one but we have a
huge unfinished basement...
It has a door wall and
4 big windows that let in light.
this will be a future art space...
My art room is connected by a little
doorway to the bunny room
so this way I can do art and keep
Hazel company.
I love my pet gates I ordered
on Amazon and added
the mesh.  The were totally worth it
for the low price of $40
and the convenience!

I am so excited and grateful for
our new home.  I enjoyed sharing
it with you.  We have lots of plans
 and big dreams to
work on in our forever home.
This is just the beginning.
Merry Christmas!

We Moved!

On 3 Nov we moved to our new house!
After looking for quite a while and coming up short,
we finally found the house with everything on our wish list.
3 weeks later and I still can't believe it.
So much hard work!  We have a lot of STUFF....
I am now realizing maybe I should get
rid of things more...maybe...
After many truck loads we are here!
This is it the 1st week after we moved.
How lucky are we that we moved Before
the snow?!?!
The first snow in our new house
And it has a giant big yard which gets sun all day.
So I can plant anything and everything
I have every wanted to plant!
See that little white dot....that's Angel!
The yard wasn't fenced in so we had to do that
to keep Angel from chasing other dogs.
This is the listing pic of the back yard in the summer.
I would say we've unpacked maybe 25% of the boxes...
So it will be a while before were 100% settled but
all the critters seem to have faired better than I expected.
Angel May Doesn't mind being plopped in the
middle of the living room!
My fish tank and fish survived the move!
Taz and Henley are doing pretty well...
Hazel and Gus are ok...I did have one night
Hazel didn't want to eat and I gave her stasis meds but
by morning she was fine and eating and pooping. I do think Hazel
liked our old house better and is mad at me a little.
Gus is more adventurous and will take off investigating
which he never did in the old house.
Murphy trying out the stand up shower!
Before there was wallpaper in the kitchen...
I am not a wallpaper fan...
I love the kitchen now.
We removed the wallpaper and painted it green.
We also installed lights on them top of the cabinets and
the bottom of the cabinets.
I don't like overhead ceiling lighting on all the time.

This is one side of the Livingroom.
The one thing that I love about this
house is there is no gray!
I absolutely love
bright light that pours in through the windows.
Great for my plants. I will share more as I get more
rooms situated and decorated for Christmas!
If someone would have told me last November that
I would be living in this house this November
never would have believed them!!!!
I love it, It is my dream house!  Oh and it is 3 miles
from my parents.  So we are
close by and able to help them more.

An Anniversary Getaway to Vermont

Sharing a few wedding pictures from 10 yrs ago.
Last month my husband and I celebrated
10 yrs. being married and 13 yrs. being together.
We went to Vermont for a little getaway
to a very scenic resort.

We landed in Boston.
We drove to the Mountain Top Resort in Vermont
Such pretty winding roads with green mountains all
around.  I didn't realize Vermont had mountains.
So happy the colors were changing at the
higher altitudes.

The view our window just reminded me of
the movie the Legends of the Fall...

The trails were very steep and rocky.  These
draft horses were very sure footed.  I did feel
bad for them, not because they weren't well cared
for but because they are leased out and wonderful
animals and I just thought it was sad that no one
owned them and loved them for the wonderful horses they
were.  Apparently many of the guides have adopted
several of the trail horses when they got older.
We drove all over Vermont...
We also spent the day in Salem Massachusetts.
We visited the historic House of 7 Gables.
We like touring historical homes.

We also visited the witch house.  It was the residence
of one of the judges that was on the Salem
witch trials.  All I can say is that I am
glad I was born in the present day.  That
kind of living would not be for me.

Too many pictures.... to post so I just did a few favorites.
It was wonderful trip!
Now we're home and closed
on our new house and prepping to move.
OMG! so much work!
