What I do when it's cold outside!

Here in Michigan it is cold!
We are dealing with ice or snow.
and winter....
Even though I drive out to the barn to see
my horse 3 days a week I still have more time inside
and I have found two shows on Netflix that I liked so much
I've watched them all and wish there was more.
What I like about this one is that it takes
place in England and features this
British Garden Guru- Monty Don.
I had never heard of him, but I guess
he is a big deal there.  I get a kick of these
teeny tiny British yards that they
want to make into these elaborate Garden spaces.
To think how much space we have
here in the US and so many
people just do nothing.
I thought I had a small yard
and want something bigger but
this show just  shows what
you can do in a little space.
Then another new find is...
I heard about her book but
I never read it.
I have a lot of stuff...
I do not like the minimalism
look.  It seems cold and not cozy to me.
I like organized clutter. I like to have
things that mean something to me
around me to look at.
Anyway, I found this series interesting
and took some of her tips to heart
and it has spurred me on to do a major
closet clean out.  I'm really happy
with my results so far and will
probably post it in a future post.

I fired a big batch
of bisque ware.  So I have lots
to glaze.
Some of these are high fire pottery.
So I will be trying out some
mid-range glazes for the first time.
With these you layer different
glazes on top of each other
and they combine and move around
at the higher temperature
so it is kind of like a science
experiment to see how it will
come out.
the effects can be amazing!

I worked on glazing this one this week.
The bowl should be mainly blue
with green undertones.  We'll
see what it does.
I also went and got my highlights touched up.
I have brown hair with carmel highlights.
My friend Lisa told me about
color conditioners...Overtone
I have been using it for a while now.
I love them! Your hair never gets fried
and you can add some pep to your hair.
They are also not tested on animals.
Totally vegan and cruelty free.
